Walnut Creek, Calif. — March 28
China represents a significant business market for U.S. companies, but HR practices do not readily translate from one country to the next.

Dr. Irv Beiman will help companies that do business in China — or hope to — to understand and avoid the barriers to intercultural success.

Beiman is one of two keynoters scheduled to speak at “Making China Your Gold Mountain,” an inaugural conference and exposition May 23-25 in South San Francisco.

The conference is hosted by XMei International, a business consulting and development organization with expertise in Chinese business practices and their cultural impact.

The conference is the first event in the U.S. with influential Chinese HR executives and business leaders from multinational companies, private Chinese companies, Chinese consulting firms and the government.

Beiman, chairman of eGate Consulting, Shanghai, will address the links between the challenges of doing business in China to HR requirements there.

He will discuss five root causes of the HR problems that hinder successful execution of business in China, and how HR can play a key role in the success of the strategic goals of an organization.

A widely published author and organizational development expert, Beiman writes on challenges in four major areas: culture, organizational, performance management and strategy execution process management.

“Dr. Beiman’s years of hands-on experience in China make him an ideal choice for this conference,” said Xiaoli Mei, XMei International president and founder. “Attendees stand to significantly shorten the learning curve of doing business in China.”
