Grand Haven, Mich. — Feb. 16
Media 1 was named a finalist for the Top Women-Owned Businesses by the Grand Rapids Business Journal.

The Top Women Owned Businesses awards recognize West Michigan’s women-owned businesses that add strength and diversity to the local economy.

Recipients are selected following an extensive nominating process. Their commitment to excellence makes this region a better place to live, work and flourish.

Juggling family, work, social, and philanthropic dynamics, these women meet the challenges of the business world head-on and thrive under the pressure of trying to succeed in very competitive and varied industries.

“Media 1 has experienced rapid growth over the last year,” said Chris F. Willis, Media 1 CEO and founder. “I believe that our ability to effectively manage that
growth and sustain our financial stability — while giving our employees a morale boost through participating in our bonus program — has helped make us a finalist for this award. It is truly an honor for us.”

Media 1 most recently has added four new full-time team members and is looking to add an additional managing instructional consultant to the team.

The celebration luncheon takes place at the Pinnacle Center in Hudsonville, Mich., on March 6 and also kicks off the beginning of Women’s History Month.

Founded in 1993, Media 1 specializes in creating innovative learning programs and decision-support tools to help global corporations achieve their sales and
performance goals.
