Nominations Open for Chief Learning Officer Magazine’s 2007 Learning In Practice Awards

Chicago — Mediatec Publishing Inc. has announced that nominations are now open for Chief Learning Officer magazine’s 2007 Learning In Practice Awards. Award nominations are due July 15 and must be completed online at www.clomedia.com/learningawards.

“The Learning In Practice Awards recognize the best and the brightest leaders in the corporate learning industry,” said Norm Kamikow, Chief Learning Officer magazine editor in chief. “This year, we have also added new award categories to better align to the evolving challenges faced by learning executives, as well as to recognize some of the outstanding contributions the vendor community has made the learning industry.”

The categories for the 2007 Learning In Practice Awards include The Leadership Awards, The Vanguard Awards, The Innovation Awards, The Business Impact Awards, The Magellan Awards and CLO of the Year, the industry’s top honor.

Each of these categories features two separate divisions, based on the size of the organization.

The newly added Vendor Awards will be presented to those that have demonstrated outstanding performance in the following categories: outsourcing, technology, content and customer service.

The winners of the 2007 Learning In Practice Awards will be announced Oct. 2 during a special ceremony at the Chief Learning Officer magazine Fall 2007 Symposium in Tucson, Ariz.

David Vance, former president of Caterpillar University and Chief Learning Officer magazine’s 2006 CLO of the Year, will deliver the keynote address on “The Importance of Learning and Development for Corporate Profitability, Economic Growth and the Creation of Wealth.”
