Meditab, a provider of intelligent, integrated, innovative and intuitive software solutions for the health care industry, has announced that South Nassau Communities Hospital’s Complete Women’s Imaging Center (CWIC), in Oceanside, N.Y., has implemented its intelligent radiology management software (IRMS) solution.

A HIPAA-compliant, HL7 compatible, next-generation radiology information management solution designed for single or multifacility imaging centers, IRMS provides CWIC with comprehensive practice management, EHR and administrative tools combined with flexible workflow and document creation that uses structured documentation, speech recognition or dictation.

The graphical user interface (GUI) of IRMS is designed for ease of operation with simple, intuitive features, and the system is highly customizable, reacting to user preferences.

“Meditab’s IRMS solution provides us with a complete range of services including patient scheduling, workflow management, reporting, billing, voice recognition and mammography tracking,” said John Mertz, South Nassau Communities Hospital chief information officer. “IRMS allows us to enjoy increased productivity, centralized billing and maximized revenue.”

Meditab’s focused and integrated solutions address numerous challenges facing today’s health care environment and provide clients with increased revenue and decreased physician and office staff hours.

Each solution is designed by health care professionals to meet real-world priorities and solve real-world problems, and seamless integration ensures data is entered only once at the primary source and used throughout an entire organization.
