The Human Capital Institute (HCI), a global professional association and educator in talent management strategies, has announced the latest addition to its signature Innovation Tours, an ongoing series of talent management learning and networking events held in major metropolitan areas throughout the United States and Canada.
The new program, sponsored by Market10, a revolutionary online job marketplace, will explore “How Small to Midsize Enterprises Will Avoid a Workforce Meltdown.”
The tour will launch in Washington, D.C., on March 27, with a second session in Atlanta on March 29. The events, which include a continental breakfast and opportunity for networking, take place from 8 to 11 a.m. (EST).
Keynote speaker at the event will be best-selling writer, researcher, speaker and consultant Dr. Edward Gordon, Imperial Consulting Corporation president, who will begin the two-part program with a presentation of the latest data on the forces behind “war for talent” issues.
The program includes real-world case studies of how successful companies find, develop and leverage human capital to achieve better performance results and greater profits.
Following the initial presentation, Gordon will moderate a panel discussion that features thought leaders who will share their diverse perspectives on the talent management challenges small to midsize organization face, and the best ways to overcome them.
The panel will include a consultant who works with small to midsize companies, a technologist who will share how small to midsize companies can use the Internet to find the best talent and a corporate practitioner with a real-world example.
“This multifaceted program is designed to provide specific solutions executives and human capital professionals can apply to their organizations,” said Allan Schweyer, HCI president and executive director.
