Atlanta — Feb. 14
Building on the success of its on-demand risk assessment solutions, Atlanta-based e-VERIFILE.COM Inc. launched ActionRITE, a fully automated solution that will help organizations to easily manage their adverse action process.

A common term in human resource management, adverse action is the denial of employment or any other related decision that adversely affects a current or prospective employee.

Adverse action procedures usually are triggered after an employer has performed a background investigation on an employee or contractor and have found negative information in the resulting report.

The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), as well as the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), requires all employers to notify applicants of any adverse hiring decision that is based on employment screening and consumer reports.

Such actions could include a denial of promotion or the failure to hire an applicant.

The paperwork and time involved in this process can sometimes overwhelm most HR managers and departments.

ActionRITE streamlines the Adverse Action process by enabling employers that conduct background investigations via e-VERIFILE.com to use notifications that can be automatically customized, documented and delivered to recipients as per their criteria.

“Many companies do not realize the importance of following a consistent and accurate process in regard to termination of employees,” said Priya Wijesinghe, e-VERIFILE.com director of account management. “ActionRITE provides a protocol that every company can use to lessen their vulnerability.”
