Use learning and organizational development expertise to lead the learning team in delivering high quality programs/interventions that are aligned with Magellan’s operational goals and that improve employee performance. Scope includes leadership & executive development, discipline specific learning and general employee development. Provide consultative services to internal clients on organizational design, work process, leadership coaching and team building. This person will also drive large systems interventions in such areas as diversity, operations, improvement and performance management. Experience leading a corporate university is strongly preferred. Proven skills in the use of technology leveraging learning opportunities is a must.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (List tasks critical to completion of daily workload)

Accountable for creating, launching, and managing Magellan’s learning program(s), including identification and development and/or purchase of curriculum, oversight/delivery of learning programs, and measurement of learning program effectiveness.

Provide expert performance improvement consultation & coaching .

Drive organizational learning and performance improvement via performance management, succession development, and career development programs; facilitate the design and conduct of annual all-employee survey. .

Provide leadership to learning team members, including mentoring in learning discipline (e.g. needs assessment, instructional systems design, launching training programs, program evaluation, etc.)


NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

Contribute to the overall success of the HR function; Serve as team lead for OD&L team members; Provide regular status of team accomplishments and challenges to the HR Leadership team

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Skills necessary to meet minimum performance standards of the position)
Education: MA/MS/MBA
Experience: A minimum of 8 years experience in OD and training
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Excellent project management skills are a must.
Computer Skills: Strong

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (Additional skills necessary to exceed minimum performance standards)
Education: Bachelors Degree required, Masters preferred.
Experience: minimum of 8 years, 4 in a leadership role.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: full knowledge of learning including needs assessment, instructional systems design, program evaluation, blended learning strategies, stellare platform skills, and accomplished facilitation skills.
