Adicio, a developer of Web-based classified advertising solutions, announced the launch of a new job search portal, CareerCast.com, containing job listings from Adicio client websites across the U.S. and Canada. CareerCast.com enables job seekers to access job opportunities from career sites in their local area or region, while also providing employers and recruiters with a way to post listings to more than 500 newspaper, broadcast, trade publishing and niche sites in one transaction.
On CareerCast.com, job seekers can create accounts and use their resumes to apply for jobs on any participating Web site. The portal then automatically logs them onto the corresponding client Web site and uploads their resume, expediting the posting process.
Job seekers can also access job-rating information that uses analysis to measure careers by factors such as working conditions, competitiveness and hiring outlook. The site also offers job-hunting, career management and HR-focused content, as well as research data, a daily video and career blog.
“CareerCast.com expedites the job search by providing unique content, tools and job listings all in one central location,” said Tony Lee, chief alliance officer of Adicio and publisher of CareerCast.com. “By directing job seekers to our clients’ Web sites to read articles, view jobs and apply for positions, our client’s sites will benefit from increased traffic. And by creating a centralized location for employers to post their positions to more than 500 niche sites…CareerCast.com provides a service to recruiters while helping our clients generate new online revenues."
