Novell Inc. announced the appointment of Javier Colado to the new position of general manager, partners, effective immediately. Colado will be responsible for leading and managing channel and partner strategy worldwide, with a focus on accelerating Novell's channel transformation.
He will report directly to Ron Hovsepian, Novell president and CEO, and will be based in the company's Waltham, Mass., headquarters.
“Javier has a tremendous track record of executing against strategic partner and channel initiatives,” Hovsepian said. “This new role is critical to Novell's continued growth and success; and Javier is the right leader to continue to drive our channel strategy, identify and recruit new partners and champion our internal transformation.”
Since 2006 Colado has served as Novell area general manager and vice president for Western Europe, the Middle East and Africa, where he was responsible for all operations, sales and marketing.
“Novell is very well positioned to help our partners grow and accelerate their businesses,” said Colado. “I look forward to making our existing channel partners even more successful and to driving new relationships worldwide.”
