    SuccessFactors Expands Latin American Footprint

    Wednesday June 4, 2008

San Mateo, Calif. — May 28
SuccessFactors Inc., a provider of on-demand performance and talent management solutions, announced that Grupo Industrial Saltillo, a Mexican industrial company, has chosen SuccessFactors as its performance and talent management platform. The win expands SuccessFactors' Latin American presence and reinforces the company's commitment to the worldwide market.

With 10,000 employees worldwide, Grupo Industrial Saltillo has turned to SuccessFactors to implement an efficient human resources operation across the entire organization, energize its employees and make their job functions aligned with overall company goals and business strategies.

Grupo Industrial Saltillo had multiple lines of business operating independently, so the company needed a way to align company objectives at the corporate level and cascade them downward to ensure all employees were on the same page and using a similar performance management system.

With SuccessFactors, Grupo Industrial Saltillo now has a consolidated source for employee information and clear and visible talent objectives and metrics that can be used for coaching, development and succession planning.

"As one of the leaders in the production and sales of building, metal and automotive, and house ware materials, Grupo Industrial Saltillo has a diverse and growing workforce that is widely distributed, but ultimately all [are] responsible for the company's bottom line," said Francisco Guzman, senior vice president of human resources for Grupo Industrial Saltillo.

"With complexity like this, we need to make sure that our employees and business units have clear objectives and an intelligent decision-making process in order to continue to build a successful company. SuccessFactors is a market-leading, strategic partner that will help to motivate our workforce and foster an easy way to better consolidate and use employee and business-critical information across the company."

"Grupo Industrial Saltillo is a great example of how companies are making a direct connection between talent and business success and taking direct action to ensure alignment," said Paul Albright, chief marketing officer and general manager of SMB for SuccessFactors.

"At SuccessFactors, we believe that the final measure of individual performance is corporate performance, so we're committed to helping companies like Grupo Industrial Saltillo increase its bottom line and revolutionize the future of work."

SuccessFactors' Performance and Talent Management Suite creates a company-wide network of information related to employee performance, including skill sets, interests, career aspirations, ability to relocate, experience, languages spoken and more.

By providing deep, real-time, company-wide visibility into such critical performance data, companies are able to make better, more informed decisions about how to promote, recruit, compensate, reward and manage their employee bases.
