Biogen Idec Selects Veritude’s Managed Services Program

    Tuesday August 28, 2007

    Boston — Aug. 28
Veritude, a provider of talent acquisition and management services, has been selected by Biogen Idec, a global biotechnology provider of the discovery, development, manufacturing and commercialization of innovative therapies, to manage its temporary staffing requirements.

Cambridge, Mass-based Biogen Idec creates standards of care in therapeutic areas to address a variety of key unmet medical needs.

Patients in more than 90 countries benefit from Biogen Idec’s significant products that address diseases such as lymphoma, multiple sclerosis and rheumatoid arthritis.

Under the terms of the agreement, Veritude will have an on-site team fully dedicated to staffing Biogen Idec’s temporary needs or positions at the company’s headquarters.

Veritude also will be managing temporary staffing needs at the company’s offices in San Diego and Research Triangle Park, N.C.

As with all Veritude managed services clients, a dedicated customer relationship manager will work closely with Biogen Idec to ensure Veritude consistently delivers high levels of service and quality.

Veritude’s customized service approach delivers high-quality candidates for professional, IT, scientific and administrative positions across multiple industries.

As Biogen Idec is one of the most successful drug manufacturers in the world, the agreement represents a significant addition to Veritude’s portfolio of clients in the life sciences industry.

The agreement also adds to Veritude’s increasing presence in the Research Triangle Park area.

“We are delighted to welcome Biogen Idec to the growing number of life sciences and biotechnology firms that are turning to Veritude for talent acquisition services," said Diane Shelgren, Veritude executive vice president of strategy and client development. "Biogen Idec is a leader in their space, and we look forward to developing a long-term partnership that will help them continue to achieve business success.”
