Gainesville, Fla. — July 19

SumTotal Systems Inc., a human capital management (HCM) company, announced growth of new business across its global operations with the addition of 187 new customer accounts, and a 65 percent growth rate in overall bookings for the first half of this year, compared to the previous period. The company attributes this growth to increasing demand for its talent management platform. Separately, SumTotal added an additional 1,000 new customers already in Q3-2011 with the recent acquisitions announced July 7 of both CyberShift and Accero as the company expanded its global footprint in strategic HCM software.

In H1-2011, the company achieved 72 percent growth in new business bookings, and 240 percent growth in SaaS bookings, compared to the previous period. Along with new customers, including Gerber Life and Physicians Mutual, SumTotal experienced overseas growth in its Asian and European markets, including Japan’s Konica Minolta Business Technologies Inc.

“Our success this year is a clear indication of our strong brand when it comes to delivering results for our customers, and the infrastructure we’ve expanded to support our growing global customer base,” said SumTotal CEO John Borgerding. “We have instituted numerous new methodologies and processes in our operations focused on delivering greater communications, support and value to our customers.”
